[OLD] How Rankings are Calculated

Power rankings are calculated by dividing the total points earned ($1 = 1 point) by the total number of entries. If a player has played in less than half of the tournaments, their points are divided by half the total number of tournaments held.

Updated 1/5/26 for Season 1. See new formula.

Power Ranking Formula

Power Ranking = Total Points / Total Entries or Minimum Entries (whichever is greater)

Total Points = Total money won during the current season ($100 = 100 pts)

Total Entries = total number of tournaments attended plus total number of rebuys (10 tournaments and 2 rebuys = 12 entries)

Minimum Entries = half the number of tournaments held so far in the season. If there have been 13 tournaments in the current season, the minimum entry is 6.5.

Examples

Player 1:
attends 5 out of 9 tournaments
wins $67 in total

Power Ranking = 67 (Total Points) / 5 (Total Entries) = 13.400

Player 2:
attends 1 out of 9 tournaments
wins $72 in total

Power Ranking = 72 (Total Points) / 4.5 (Minimum Entries) = 16.000

Player 3:
attends 6 out of 9 tournaments
purchases 1 rebuy
wins $85 in total

Power Ranking = 85 (Total Points) / 7 (Total Entries) = 12.143
