How Rankings are Calculated

Power rankings are calculated by dividing the total points earned by the total number of entries. If a player has played in less than half of the tournaments, their points are divided by half the total number of tournaments held to date.

Updated 1/5/26 for Season 1. See formula for Season 0.

Power Ranking Formula

Power Ranking = Total Points / Total Entries or Minimum Entries (whichever is greater)

Total Points = points earned based on placement in tournaments

  • The first person out receives 1 point. The second person out receives 2 points, etc.
  • Final table receives 3 bonus points
  • Winner receives 5 additional bonus points

Total Entries = total number of tournaments attended plus total number of rebuys (10 tournaments and 2 rebuys = 12 entries)

Minimum Entries = half the number of tournaments held so far in the season. If there have been 13 tournaments in the current season, the minimum entry is 6.5.
